    Dr. George Kenney says one of the issues stems around an African American campus security guard getting spit on by a white student. "We've had two instances where staff members have been spit on this year. We've dealt with that severely." The student had a short suspension and is now on probation. But some didn't think the punishment was enough.

    Fueling the discussions was a flyer passed around campus. It accuses the school of double standards by allowing white students to wear a popular clothing line which uses the confederate flag, yet Hispanic or black students are labeled as being in gangs if certain colors are worn.
