Re: WHAT HAPPEN TO ROBERT HASMI?
What about the fact you, Robert Hasmi, was still married at the time and cheated on your wife, leaving your children and wife for a woman who has been married already 3 times and you are now #4

Re: WHAT HAPPEN TO ROBERT HASMI?
I heard the new-hires aren't taking an oath of office anymore and ethics isn't even part of the curriculum in the academy. Is this true? Oh wait, am I on the right board? Is this totally irrelevant?

Law Enforcement Code of Ethics
As a Law Enforcement Officer, my fundamental duty is to serve mankind; to safeguard lives and property; to protect the innocent against deception, the weak against oppression or intimidation, and the peaceful against violence or disorder; and to respect the Constitutional rights of all persons to liberty, equality and justice.
I will keep my private life unsullied as an example to all; maintain courageous calm in the face of danger, scorn or ridicule; develop self-restraint; and be constantly mindful of the welfare of others. Honest in thought and deed in both my personal and official life, I will be exemplary in obeying the laws of the land and the regulations of my department. Whatever I see or hear of a confidential nature or that is confided to me in my official capacity will be kept ever secret unless revelation is necessary in the performance of my duty.
I will never act officiously or permit personal feelings, prejudices, animosities or friendships to influence my decisions. With no compromise for crime and with relentless prosecution of criminal, I will enforce the law courteously and appropriately without fear or favor, malice or ill will, never employing unnecessary force or violence and never accepting gratuities.
I recognize the badge of my office as a symbol of public faith, and I accept it as a public trust to be held so long as I am true to the ethics of the police service. I will constantly strive to achieve these objectives and ideals, dedicating myself before God to my chosen profession...law enforcement.

Re: WHAT HAPPEN TO ROBERT HASMI?
You know I visit this site from time to time to try to stay "grounded" with the ins and outs of what's going on in the ranks but most often than not I am disappointed because being on the inside, I'm prevy to information and the majority of comments posted here are totally off the wall. Now I'm not here to pass judgement on anyone, including Hasmi, he knows what he did and as far as I'm concerned he got what he deserved. But I sit here and I read all the comments posted and I can't help but think to myself, what a bunch of hipocrates. You people are trashing this guy and that's fine, but face it, he didn't do anything any of you haven't done yourselves. Eating while on a signal, changing location without notifying dispatch, padding your worksheet or conducting personal business while on duty. The only difference between him and all of you is that he got caught. Think about that the next time you take an "11" without putting it on your worksheet or turn your laptop off so that you can't be located while taking care of personal business or sleeping.
