BSO K9 Memorial Service

Broward Sheriff’s Office K9 “Oozi” Memorial Service

Date: July 23, 2008 Time: 1 pm

K9 Teams attending are requested to arrive by 12pm in order to accommodate with parking.

All other uniform personnel are asked to be seated by 12:30pm.

Directions from North or South I-95: South or North to Stirling Rd. then West to the school on right. (1.25 miles West of University Dr.)

Directions from North or South Turnpike: South or North to Griffin Rd. then West to University Dr. Turn South onto University Dr. to Stirling Rd. then West to school.

Directions from West / I-75: Even though the signs say South your going East on I-75 (the alley) Look for the sign that says East I-595 to Ft Lauderdale. Go East (approx 2 mls) to Flamingo Rd. then South to Stirling Rd. Then East on Stirling Rd. to the school on left.

The whole K-9 program should be gone. Their is just 2 much abuse on part of the handlers. A dog was starved to death in Miami and several dogs died over the past year being left in the car with the engine off. All within a 1 year period.

I have no doubt these dogs get abused on a daily basis. Their might be a few good handlers out there but very few.
