OCSO has a whole bunch of cross sworn investigators (local PD + deputy) so it might be possible. The exception recognized in Rampil and Vinales appears to be that the secondary employmnet is performing additional law enforcement functions for no additional remuneration on a temporary or nonregular basis. Task force, special deputies, etc.

The only question that comes to mind is why one would want to work for Oakland, windermere, or edgewood and be a reserve deputy. If you want to be a deputy why not be a deputy.. If you want to work for a municipality work there. I can see a good reason for a state investigator to go out and patrol, and you already have the jurisdiction, the problem i going to be getting talllahssee to buyin...

    Re: Reserve

Does OCSO provide sponsorship through the night academy for reserve applicants, or must you pay for your own way through the Valencia or Seminole academy?

For current reserve / reserve auxiliary members: What sort of hours are expected, aside from the required hours per month? Can you choose your shift(s)? Can you choose who you work with, or are you stuck with someone who may or may not want you? Can you choose your sector?

Looks like you have to work 20 hours per month, attend a monthly training meeting, work 4 details a year
You can you choose your own shifts within reason
During FTO you are stuck with whoever you get assigned to.
For FTO you go where they tell you, currently 1 and 3 see to have the only available FTOs. Once you complete your FTO you go where you want/have buddies.
