Compliments of the Sunshine Law I have reviewed the last two medical pensions your city has issued being the most recent.
It is my opinion that before you blurt out someone's medical condition for all to read you should make sure what you are saying is correct.
According to your city the last officer had Coronary Artery Disease, High Blood pressure and legal blindness in one eye from an uncontrolled heart condition. He was sent to see 4 doctors all Cardiologists. Hard to dispute that one after reading it.

Another officer was declared mentally unfit for duty after being evaluated by a mental health professional. It lists that he had seen 2 doctors. Sounds like someone that i would not want on the street and the city did their job by relieving him.

It is just my legal opinion that you should utilize this Law to post correct facts about peoples medical conditions

Maybe some in the list of 20 you looked at really DID have legitimate reasons to medically retire.....maybe some of them really DID NOT want to have to retire and were forced to by a doctor or by illness.
Now, I am sure there are some that play the system just because they can....but don't lump us all in that category....some of us ARE ill and by the grace of God it is not you....
