I'm one of the co-founders of this site and Mod 1 just forwarded me a link to Tim Smith's Fort Lauderdale Blog. You're right, not just cops read this site and you should take advantage of that. We've helped cops with agencies all over the place and you are no exception. Whether you're with the St. Pete PD and you want 4 day work weeks and shotguns in your cars (they got them in 3 months after we gave them a message board) or with the Florida Dept. of Corrections and want to be able to carry guns and handcuff bad guys in your office, we have your back.

If you write professionally in here, the media will print it and put it on TV. This will get the message to the general public resulting in their support. Next, they will pressure City leaders to do the right thing and you know what comes next. You win!

I heard that Brittany Wallman's husband was arrested by FLPD; that explains her personal hard-on for us. Even deeper is the fact that the Sun-Sentinel is basically a local newspaper, dependent on local news. A lot of that is Fort Lauderdale news. The paper doesn't want to get "blackballed" from the local news scene, so they make an effort to take the City Hall side of things; that is the side where their bread is buttered.

Brittany's husband is Bob Norman. He writes for the New Times & puts out some pretty off the wall stuff, stuff that the Sentinel wouldn't publish in its hallowed paper (even tho they are owned by the same company.) Some of the stuff he wrote about former sheriff/now convict Jenne was dead on. The N/T printed it but not the S/S.
