What Happened To The Tasered Pastor?

first of all, let me set the record straight, Im not a tree hugger. It might sound from my posts that Im a liberal nut, however, thats far from the truth. I certainly can tell you it upsets me to no end to see people who are sharing their faith discriminated against. Sometimes it seems as if the people who have faith have the least rights of anyone in this society. It gets old and it gets wearing. Next, let me say that I have the utmost respect for cops ( all) regardless of where they work, and to answer another question, no, I wasnt there. I do want to say that our world would not be a safe place if it werent for Law enforcement, and in fact it would be complete anarchy and chaos. Next, let me just say this,I do believe that sometimes officers do impose their opinions and sometimes they get to a point where they think that society should listen to them just because they said so. I just hope this wasnt the case with the pastor. If he was out of control, then thats one thing, but if he was just trying to be a witness, and people decided they didnt want him there, thats another. As for the permit thing, Ill have to look into that further. it doenst sound right o me, however, it very well could be. And last but certainly not least, Im not above apologizing. I certainly do appoligize to anyone that I may have assumed wrong about. I just believe that everyone has the right to hear, and if they choose to say no thank you, leave it up to them, dont make the decision for them, thats all Im saying.

As I said in my previous post....if people want to be preached to they will go to the church. I shouldn't have to say "no thank you" to someone imposing their beliefs on me. They should not approach me in the first place. Just like people in the "middle of the mall kiosks" shouldn't approach me. If I want to buy your product or worship your god I will come to you. BUT that's not what this case was about. Nobody was tasered for preaching. This person was tasered because he was told to leave and refused(trespassing). The fact that he is a pastor and was preaching had absolutely nothing to do with it. Had he left when he was told to do so that would've been the end of it. Shame on him for thinking he was above the law.

You know, alot of people will never step foot inside a Church, they know nothing about it, and therefore, people feel the need to get out and tell others outside the Church. The Church was made for believers. The believers are supposed to go out and spread the word to others. As for what he was doing at the Casino, I dont know, but what was he trespassing on? The Casino property? What was he doing that made him have to leave? If it wasnt the fact that he was preaching, then what was it? Who was it that told him to leave, was it the security? Im wondering how he was disturbing anyone. I think I read something in a post that he was crazy or nuts or something, was he off the wall with what he was saying? Im just wondering.

Bothering people, security told him to leave, he refused, police were called, police told him to leave, he refused, he got tasered. If you're so interested perhaps you can go to the PD and request the report. They may give it to you.

Everyone knows what a church is. Believers and non-believers alike.

I think the bigger issue is the abuse of power. It's well documented that he was on the ground handcuffed when he was tasered. There are witness statements and video footage (that will never see the light of day) that tell the all too familiar story of Seminole PD abusing their power. There's plenty of cases where people get zapped with the taser's and die. I love how all of the officers say "we all have to get tasered as part of our training."

That's BS. Officers with certain medical conditions don't. Also of all of the training videos I've seen none of the officers actually has the barbed prongs shot into them. Instead they're attached with clips.

And the other thing that was documented was the bullying and ridicule that the kids had to endure in the mobile trailer. Of course there's no witnesses to that. No camera's in the mobile trailer... I wonder why?

Why are there all of these reports about all of the shady things that go down there? Charging people with BS charges. Why?? Are there any officers on the force that are fed up with this crap. You're supposed to serve and protect. Not use human beings for entertainment and subject them to your immature behavior.

I respect real police officers, not bullies with a badge and a gun.

I AGREE WITH YOUR POST I AGREE WITH YOUR POST THERE IS NO USE FOR ABUSE. IF THE DEPT. DON'T TAKE CARE OF THIS ABUSE THEN FDLE SHOULD BE AWARE OF IT BECAUSE THEY HOLD THE POWER OF CERTIFICATION AND THEY WILL INVESTIGATE ANY ABUSE OF POWER.

For all we know, it could have been a perfectly civil questioning, or not. How do you know there is no camera in the trailer? Let me guess someone told you and you believe it right. By the way what is a "BS charge"? You right a person who was asked to leave for the 10 th time doesnt and strikes an officer, the officer should continue to ask him to leave right? You complain, but you are probably the first one that uses 911. And FYI there are many officers who get shot with the prongs. You obviously dont know how many lives the taser saves. There are people with confirmed heart conditions in the water that have been tased and they are fine. So next time you should do a little research. As far as people getting tased and die, you dont here on the news that he was hopped up on some much cocaine or some other drug that he was a danger to himself. You here about the few people who were tased and died, but you dont here about the hundreds or thousands that were tased in this country and lived. You dont hear since the taser was introduced, that police injuries are down, suspect injuries are down, no you dont hear that,,, simply because you dont want to. You probably also believe that Gil Grissom from CSI should be at you house if someone steals your cat,, why? because you saw it on TV and that is how you think it is right?
