Maybe we just need a new Sheriff, clearly its not just the jail who brings lawsuits. In fact If I was a betting man I would say most of the money spent from the legal fund is from f6ck ups on the road. In fact in the last 10 years how many time have you seen the jail on the news for misconduct, NOT MUCH, how many times have you seen a road deputy, almost on a monlthy basis!

Even if there were some validity to the points made by those who wish to take the jail private, and I don't believe their is...

It is not as if you are shielded from liability by privatizing the jail, and essentially you are just adding one more layer of potential mismanagement. Plus, who is to say that going private would even reduce the price per day of incarceration? Look what privatizing functions in the military has done...
