Rewards for Cop Killers

Why did this guy that turned in Rein's killer get such a puny reward? The reward for the other BSO deputy's killer is up TO $267,000. This guy only got a check for $2,500. He was a hero by all accounts and really deserves much more. Am I wrong here?

Did you see they ended up giving the guy the $25000. He deserved it too in my opinion. They also gave the Pawn store owner $1000 for dialing the phone and now this bozo thinks he deserves more.
