Adding lights to take home cars

Are you able to add lights to your take home car? If so I was wondering if they could provide a copy of their policy or procedure on adding lights to a department vehicle. Our union is pushing to allow our Deputies to put lights in our cars so we are looking to mirror other agencies policies. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you and stay safe.

Yes we can. We are required to put i memo through chain of command. We are technically not allowed to drill into anything for obvious reasons, however its much safer than velcro. Luckily in Broward county we have 3 or 4 companies who do installs.
