    Silence is golden

Funny how most of you don't get it. After all the cops the feds have recently sent to prison ( not the river cops), some of you fail to realize that if you break the law, to enforce the law, your a criminal. Just because a supervisor tells you to arrest someone, and by law, they can't do that, you fall into the trap of following orders and then you get jammed up in court. Supervisors have arrest powers. If these places are so criminal in nature, put them out of business. How? enforce the state liquor laws for one. Another find out the city ordnace for maximum occupancy, have the city fire marshalls make the establishment POST the occupancy, and enforce the ordnance. HOW, just count the people. You can enforce ANY part of the city's ordanances. So you don't make the arrest for drugs, but if the place is out of business, they aren't selling drugs are they. Does it work? Ask the owners of El Liceo club and My other place club's owners. Oh, we closed them down in the mid 70's in the south end. And some of you remember the pimp, hooker and drug dealer hang out known as Vick's in downtown Miami? It lost it's license this way also. But Making the case anyway you can, can make you a felon. And it doing so, you endanger other cops who would have to cover your BS.

What did he say? He is so articulate the rest of us are lost. Why are we criminals? Help translate

EL LICEO? D#mn that's a long time ago, but a good example! Nuisance abatement, that's the way to go!

When ordered to write an Arrest Form, a sworn arrest affidavit by the way, prefix it by writing: AT LT. A H's ORDERs, THIS OFFICER WROTE THE FOLLOWING AS DICTATED BY LT. A. H.. I did not witness the violation, had no independent probable cause and only served as the lieutenant's scribe. Should the lieutenant reject your prefix, no problem, write an information report under the different case number cross referencing it to the arrest form case number. Should the lieutenant order you not to write other documents on the matter, as soon as you get home, write memorandum to file, your personal file, citing all that transpired.

When you are subpoenaed to testify on the matter, tell the prosecuting ASA that you did not witness the offense, and only wrote the report at the lieutenant's order. That should have a chilling effect upon the supervisory ranks, too lazy to write their own enforcement actions.
