Does VBPD have a collective bargaining unit like FOP, or PBA?

They may have a PBA or FOP, but VA is a right to work state, so that means, no union. There is no collective bargaining. Hopefully, we can get the law passed to allow collective bargaining, but VA and the local jurisdictions will fight it all the way!!!

    collective bargaining

The collective bargaining bill if passed would only give the emergency services workers the right to have a mediator review finidings and suggestions made by the city manager. ex. city manager says it will cost x million dollars to implement a pay raise for employees the mediator would have the right to review the documents and calculations used by the city manager to reach his conclusions and state their own. We still would not be able to threaten a strike or do anything other than gripe with more factual information provided by the mediator.
