    Detail

I heard that one particular detail located on the southeast corner of Forest Hill and Millitary, sent a deputy home because he was not wearing class Bs. Though I agree that we should wear the proper attire during our details, who the h... do they think they are? Several deputies have told me that working that place is a nightmare. "You can't use your cell phone," "you need to be in the parking lot," "you need to be inside the store walking around," "you can't be inside your car." For crying out loud!!!! How about we boycott that detail, and see what they're gonna do about security for their business. I can't stand details that believe that they own us. I work for the S.O. and not for that particular place that begins with an "S."[/b]

    heres another good one

THis happened back in the early 90s to me.....I was working Don Carters in Boca....it was a quiet night and the manager came over and told me to help the waitreses take out the garbage.....It kind of surprised me and i asked You mean escort them out to the dumpster....He said "NO, I mean take out the garbage". I told him that was NOT going to happen. He got pissed and stormed off.....The next day permits called me about it because he complained.....when i explained they backed me, but reluctantly saying what would it hurt....

The detail you refer to has ALWAYS ben a pain in the rear....they used to get upset if you leaned angaisnt the counter during yuour shift.....This was before cell phones....I just stopped signing up for it...They honestly tink they own you, probably because they are angry about what it costs them....
BUT------We ARE supposed to wear class B. Not the bike uniform or whatever else.

How dare they!! They actually want you to wear a proper uniform? Not talk on your cell phone? Patrol the parking lot and inside the store? GEE WHIZ. You would think that they are paying you! Oh wait,, THEY ARE PAYING YOU. Those are all reasonable requests. If you don't want to follow the detail description, don't sign up for it. I don't. But they have every right to have you do what they ask, as long as it's law enforcement related.

Ok Mr. 06, I think you know what I meant when I posted this comment. And if you read it properly, I agree we should wear the proper uniform; no argument there.
Just as you said in your comment, "working there sucks." And that is pretty much all I meant to say.
I have never worked it, and I'll never will.
