What the heck is going on? Don't you idiots know if you are going to drink then you shouldn't get behind the wheel. The media is going to have a hay day with this one.

Deputy charged with DUI

MANATEE COUNTY — An off-duty deputy with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office was arrested early Sunday morning on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Travis Prentice, 24, was pulled over in the 4300 block of Cortez Road West in Bradenton at about 2 a.m., according to the sheriff’s office.

Prentice was cooperative but failed field sobriety tests, Manatee sheriff's spokesman Dave Bristow said.

Another young one gives us a black eye.
When will you guys learn?
At least he was stopped and arrested before he wrecked and killed one of our friends or family members.
A hard lesson to learn, and he will probably lose his job.
Does he have a wife or kids?
I hope not for their sake.

Another LOSER among us!! I am ashamed anymore to be affiliated with this place. Wtf is going on in this place anymore?? Im glad our standards are so much "higher than other department's". When are we gonna rid this place of BJ, Super etc..etc.. and bring in some people that will screen some real viable applicants??

AND LOOK AT THERE I.A,AS NONE!! FHP JUST PULLED ANOTHER FHP OFFICER OVER FOR DRIVING TO FAST TO HIS SONS S-4 . THE FHP TROOPER DIDNT HAVE ID BUT TOLD HIM HE WAS A TROOPER AND WAS 51 TO HIS SON. THA TROOPER RATHER THAN ESCORT HIM TO THE SCENE, HELD HIM THERE. TO CONFIRM THE STORY. HIS SON DIED! WHERES THE BOND ANYMORE? BOTTOM LINE ON THIS STORY. TAKE HIS arse HOME!! WHEN HE WAKES UP!! ITL SINK IN!! HARD!

I would just like to know how many of you are counting your lucky stars that it wasn't YOU that got caught. How many Christmas parties (or any party for that matter) have you been to with other LEO's where there is alcohol? We all partake in it at some point, but we are just lucky enough to make it home...Gives you something to think about, doesn't it?

First of all brother in Blue we wear Green.Secondly get off the Jack Daniels prior to typing it may make your bloviating a bit more understandable,thirdly since you are not privy to one iota of the traffic stop conducted by an MSO Traffic Unit it would be best that you get your facts straight.The Traffic unit conducted a Traffic stop on a possible DUI and most likely activated his dash-cam to record for evidence the driving habits and demeanor of the operator of the questioned vehicle.The CD is evidence of many traffic infractions and criminal events witnessed by the traffic unit including this stop and subsequent arrest of the perp.Cop or no Cop.I am sure if the recording of this stop was viewed by the defense attorney on either side of this defendants stop and they saw no arrest you and your blue uniform buddies as well as the defense would have a field day with the deputy and the administration or perhaps you would like the deputy to destroy evidence of a crimial act.Is that what they do in Boston?I think not. As I don't know any facts about the FHP stop I will keep my mouth shut.I suggest you do the same

Consider the deputy who arrested him Mack he is a coward and a yes man, anything to get himself an ada boy from his brass. People who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones if you catch my drift. Im also from the same area where unless your hands are tied, which they were not you would take the man or woman officer home and talk to him about it later. Who knows he may return the favor next time you have a lack of judgement. Stay safe yall.
