    PBA

Just came over from the RMPT site. Quite interesting indeed! Finally others two are becoming annoyed with our PBA president " Bain-a-dict Arnold!" The hopes of a decent raise are slowly dwindling down the drain and as time passes by the promises again will become broken ones. It just goes to show that once you become a company man you forget who you were and who fought beside you in the trenches such as Jackson Street, Erress Blvd., Shanty Town and more. You forget that each time you went on a disturbance call an extra deputy or two showed up without request to make sure you were o.k. regardless of the situation. You forget that this is a brotherhood and we are the only ones that are going to watch each others backs. We are always there to defend each other no matter how hot the heat gets. But a chosen few seem to forget that. All they see is the $7000.00 a year to be PBA president, their brand new Sgt.'s stripes and that shiny new silver bar coming after the next promotion and the price,.....just put up a few smoke screens until then...act like your fighting tooth and nail for the members when your really not.....and continuously insult the intelligence of the membership and your in. In closing I will say, good luck, be safe and watch your backs because..."here it comes again boys!" another Ronnie Mac "broken promise!"

Yeah! Still no answer about the $2.1 million, only "I had a three hour meeting with the sheriff today...blah...blah....blah...blah!"

I am assuming neither of you have called Bain. It's much easier to complain anonymously. Let's give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you actually are PBA members and you pay to be represented. What are your suggestions? If Touart promised 5.4 and only delivered 3.2, what are your suggestions as to what Bain should do? Then, if the Sheriff uses that 3.2 million and splits it all between his directors and not the first deputy gets a raise, what are your suggestions to do about that? It's getting awfully quiet.

Go ahead and say we should march on the comissioners. Even if that would help (I doubt it), the PBA can't even get you to post your name, show up at a meeting to voice your concerns, write a letter to the editor, or call your rep, let alone you standing on a corner somewhere. Why didn't you run for a postion in PBA? Too much work? Scared of the Sheriff? Too many people wanting you to change things you have no control over? Why not try coming up with solutions or suggestions to Bain and the other board members? Nevermind, that would take effort instead of sitting in your computer chair.

You anonymously bang out a few words and allegations from behind your desk and think you have accomplished something. You haven't. You were right about one thing. Bain did fight with you in the trenchs and still does. You must've forgot that though because when is the last time you offered to help him? Whose forgot about the brotherhood?

    pba president

As long as the president is under the command of the sheriff, we will have these problems. You cant fault Bain or the next person that is in that position. The PBA should let us vote for someone who is not associated with any office so there would be no pressure on him to bow to the boss. Right now Bain has to be careful not to upset the sheriff too much, someone not under any sheriff's command wouldn't have that problem.
