Brough comes to Lady Lake with ten years experience with the Hernando County Sheriff’s Department and ten years experience with the Brooksville Police Department, where he served as Patrol Lieutenant."

So either McNathanson has no clue how to conduct a law enforcement background check on what is nominally the second in command of a mid size police department, or he needed someone as corrupt as him to carry out his dirty work because he's a coward. Forced out by BSO, failed attempts at jobs in South Florida, now here in Lady Lake with a little sidekick who's as dirty or worse than him. I especially like the Facebook page for the HCSO Explorer Post where apparently alot of kids have "JB" stories including almost being killed in crashes "about 60 times". Why aren't the commissioners, especially the newer ones, taking notice of the gathering storm of corruption and incompetence that is the police department? There's a few good officers left, but no one is talking due to fear of retaliation.

Did they need some cops who are height challenged for some lawsuit or something? He's so short he's got a wheel on his holster so it doesn't drag on the ground.

If you don't feel like you can promote within your own agency to select a LT, tell me how this "chief" can select a guy from a po-dunk tiny little police agency with hardly no experience and explain why he cant find someone from a large agency with 10X the experience who's retired? What a joke....

Let’s see if the new Chief, groomed by Queen Kollgard for years, has the balls to knock this abusive little **** off his tyrannical stool. My guess is Hell ****ing NO, but I’d love to be surprised.

Has this guy been promoted or is he sliding over to another agency???
