Critically injured Police officer benefit

We are doing a police benefit on July 26th, 2012 at 5:30 P.M. at the Peanut Island Bar and Grill (237 East Blue Heron Blvd, Riviera Beach, FL 33404) for an officer who was recently injured while going to work. On July 8, 2012 around 0545 hours a.m., Sgt. Frank Laporta was en-route to work on his personal motorcycle. A vehicle ran the red light striking Sgt. Laporta and almost killing him. He is in St. Mary's Hospital (901 45th Street, West Palm Beach, Fl) in ICU. He has multiple broken bones and will not be back to work. He has had multiple surgeries already to repair bones that were shattered in the accident. Let me tell you alittle about Sgt. Laporta. He is currently a road patrol Sgt. and has been working the streets for many years. He is a dedicated S.W.A.T. member and was also part of the K9 team. He has been an asset to our department. I would like you to please release this information our to your officer's. We need as much support as we can. Anyone who is interested in donating items for our raffle would be much appreciated.
