Need some advice..

Recently i was in hunting in Idaho and I we had a gent set up to goose hunt about 400 yards away (down river from us). We hunted and were picking up and we watched as he shot several geese.

After he picked up he drove over to us, identified himself through ID as a Game warden (not sure what you guys call them) and then checked all of us for all the essentials.

My question for you any of you comes from wondering what agency allows their officer to go and hunt while working? Thoughts??
