Do MPD Officers honor retired Officer right to carry concealed weapons?
Stories abound of retired officers being harassed, or even arrested, for carrying concealed firearms in compliance with the Law Enforcement Officer's Safety Act (sometimes called HR-218) in some jurisdictions.
Are MPD Officers aware of the law and do they honor the right of retirees who might be found to be carrying a concealed firearm?
I ask because of a proposed trip to DC and I am in the habit of carrying a concealed weapon.
Thank you for any responses.
