Hit and Run Crash by staff member?
Information arose concerning the involvement of a staff member in a hit and run crash while in use of a city of Miami police vehicle. This is of great matter and it’s completely wrong, unethical and criminal. Other members are also now involved, who collaborated in executing ways to cover up the incident. City hall is aware and doors are being shaken. Our new chief quickly stated on a radio interview that approximately 10 of those who were involved, will definitely be looking at termination. Chief has also been looking at the horrendous criminal cover up which staff members and motors squad officers and investigators participated in which resulted in the death of a motorcyclist which plunged to his death off the rickenbacker causeway, after allegedly being chased by marked city of Miami police vehicles. Multiple members were involved and interviewed and all collaborated with same false testimonies of the occurrence. Internal Affairs supervisors assisted in the cover up which also involved the so called trouble maker Captain who has racked countless of law suits and excessive force complaints. It is the duty for our Chief Acevedo to act right by our citizens and law abiding members. Chief Colina was forced to look the other way and not fire the Captain and those in Internal Affairs who failed to abide to our departments core value and mission statement. Chief Acevedo, you were placed here by God and by those of us members who for years in this profession and department, have done right and treated all persons with dignity and respect. You have an obligation to remove these persons who have been a cancer to our image and professional organization. We have notified the state attorney’s office, city hall and FDLE and we have all placed our faith in you and your new future appointed staff.
