How is it working for Highlands County?
I've got 2 years experience in North Florida, but I am interested in relocating to South Florida. However, I'd like to live and work someplace with a manageable Cost of Living. Highlands seems to fit the bill. Is there anything I should be aware of before applying? Morale issues or anything? The Highlands boards is pretty quiet and the information I'm seeing is outdated. Thanks, folks, be careful out there.
How's it working for Highlands County
As you can imagine, every agency has it's pros and cons. You will have days you love it here and days you will hate it. Highlands is a relatively quiet county, so if you are coming from a high volume of 10-8 calls, you may be bored here. However, if you are looking to slow down a bit, you will love it. I don't think you will find a perfect agency anywhere. But Highlands, all in all, is a pretty good place to live, if you like the slower paced country life.
