With pay this low and the hiring of the bottom feeders because they are the only ones taking the jobs, get ready to see a lot more of these cases. It's easy for the inmates to manipulate weak-minded, inexperienced and low paid staff into contraband smuggling for a few extra bucks. This sort of thing is common in banana republics with low paid prison staff.

On the probation side its just as bad with turnover, as soon as new officers come to work they are looking on how to leave because half of their monthly pay goes to rent.
