I was recommended to LPD by a close friend saying things are great at this agency. I have read a lot of good and bad, however most threads are a year or more old. How are things actually at LPD?

If you're still waiting for an answer, PCSO is steadily losing LEOs to LPD. That should tell you where to go and where not to go. Cheers!
