Question about Suffolk officer who had been shot
I remember seeing a police training video a number of years ago which showed the story of an officer who had been shot in the face at point blank range by an assailant with a shot gun. He lost like half his face but ultimatey survved. I thought he was from Suffolk county but I can't seem to find any information on the shooting. Does anyone know of this incident and who the officer was/what happened to him?

I think that you are referring to Suffolk County Police Officer Kenyon Tuttle who was shot by a dirtbag who he wrote traffic tickets to. After a long convalescence, Kenyon opened a bookstore and worked there with his guide dog. I do not know what happened since then.
