How about this for a topic. We all know why this thread was started on this site, so everyone could ***** about what the County is doing to everyone. If you are tired of the County treating us like step children, lets see you say so here. We will all need to come together to get our things back that have been taken away from us!

Someone needs to take over the county government. When the commissioners can vote themselves a raise while steadily cutting employees retirement and furloughing...WTF? All this while we are in this "economic crisis" and they are still building three to four parks. Do they not realize these parks will be over run with gang-bangers, dopeheads, and perverts unless the law enforcement is full strength to provide coverage.
This is why nearly every Sheriff's Office in Florida has a union. Doesnt matter what the admin or the county wants to do, if it not in line with the union contract, it doesnt happen period.

As someone who has been in law enforcement over 33 years the Ga way of law enforcement is very bad for the agency and future growth of the agency. Officers are trained day in and day out to do what others will not do. That includes 24/7, holidays, weekends, dealing with the lowest of society and then being a professional in court etc. Come on Ga get with the progarm and take care of your officers and others who work day in and day out including dispatchers, jailers etc. Stop with the good old boy mentality and hire those who want to move your agency forward. Stop the attitude of " we arent hiring that boy, see all the education and experience he has, he must have another motive for coming here" ! Some of us just want to help, move an agency forward and share our life long experience from a progressive agency. Oh yeah.. we still like to put the bad guys in jail with no other motives except to help YOUR agency !
Good luck guys and gals.. just remember 25 years will be here before you know it and Hall County will have done nothing to secure your future if you dont stay strong!
