Gun Control: Easy as 1, 2, 3?
THEORY:
- The only way to reduce gun deaths is to make it illegal for all people in the United States to own or possess guns.
. - Exceptions for gun possession should be made for government officers, but only during the performance of their lawful duties. Military police are required to turn in their guns to a local government armory, after the end of their shift. Civilian police should do the same. For example, look at what this intoxicated off-duty Florida sheriff's deputy did with his gun: https://www.orlandosentinel.com/news...xoy-story.html
. - Gun free zones, such as Chicago, Washington DC and Mexico cannot be made safer until everyone is lawfully disarmed throughout the United States because guns from other surrounding states (where guns are still legal) are flooding into those gun free jurisdictions. Dangerous cities like Chicago and Washington DC cannot be made safer, until all people are lawfully disarmed throughout the United States.
Is that how the theory works?

Some gun shops in Tacoma say they’ll be forced to close as a result of the tax. It’ll make them unable to compete. “We will close the doors.”
Tacoma’s ordinance says, in part: “Revenue generated from this tax will be used to offset the cost of gun violence on our community.”
There has been no decrease in crime since Seattle’s gun tax went into effect three years ago. In addition to the tax, Seattle has also held gun buybacks to reduce gun violence.
