You would not have to blast out an email telling people not to call the garage, the clinic, or human resources if the staff would simply act in an ethical manner and follow standard procedures with some semblance of equality. However, when you give yourself several new cars a year, spend tax payer money on vehicle trim models with unnecessary features, leave employees in out dated vehicles because of who they support politically, change the promotion policy every time a family member would like to be promoted, promote people to Sgt because their dad manages your favorite golf course while there are people with more qualifications, educations, seniority, test scores, and continue to give your friends workers comp for covid but deny others, then you should expect people to seek answers. Question; email said deputies and supervisors can not call, at what rank are supervisors qualified to look out for employees? I am pretty sure all supervisors are sitting through a leadership block during inservice telling them to manage employee issues and be leaders. Which way would you like it?
