First, would someone please come here and take John Gruden back to Oakland!

I am a Sergeant with the Tampa Police Department who will be coming to San Fran on Dec 12th to attend a pension conference. I had a few questions I was hoping a fellow LEO could answer.

1. Is the Westin Hotel a nice hotel?

2. Are there any "rules" or "laws" I need to be aware of about carrying my department issued firearm?

3. I have an officer on my squad that collects patches. He asked me if I could trade a Tampa PD patch and get one of yours while I am there.

I would carry a concealed gun everywhere, street crime is up in most parts of SF. The officers are afraid to do anything proactive becuase of the super liberal administration that will fire or suspend anyone if some career criminal even files a complaint. SFPD is the place where officers are constantly screwed by the citizen review board. A board of super police hating liberals with no clue on case law, state law, or one dime of experience. The local media loves to crap on police officers.
