I didn't know those 'machines' were illegal. Exposito made it a personal vendetta, so I didn’t believe him. Besides staff assured me they were legal. It is all on Johnny Martinez; he should have given me the right answers.

It turns out that former Chief Exposito was correct when he went on a mission to pick up the gambling machines. If you read the Miami New Times article in the below link. It states that Mayor Regalado's own expert has said that the machines are illegal and set up to rip people off.

Yes Acere, you heard right. Those gambling machines are in the lobby of radio 670 am "La Poderosa", the radio station that Mayor Tomas Regalado does two talk shows per week and where his daughter Raquel has a daily radio program.

I am sure their excuse for not seeing them will be that it's an "oversight", just like all their campaign violations.

Now that a subject-matter expert has rendered such a thorough report on the illegality of “Maquinitas,” let us dispense with further gadfly comments and ask – no – demand the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) conduct an investigation into any establishment providing “Maquinitas” and deriving a lucrative; hardly taxed profits from them. If FDLE were to follow the expert’s report, clearly “Maquinitas” operators are violating FSS 849.01 and FSS 849.02 for starters; both are third degree felonies. Given such felonious; in our faces criminal activities, FDLE must also investigate too why Miami Police Chief Manuel Orosa is not enforcing the applicable State Statutes appertaining “Maquinitas”? Where malfeasance is uncovered, FDLE must take the appropriate enforcement action, irrespective who is involved. Lest FDLE too is compromised; in that case: “Laissez les bons temps rouler” and speak of “Maquinitas” never more!

Consorte, estás hablando por a saine! Sí, yo vacilo en el City Casino, y juego todos los juegos, porque allí los juegos son legales y el establecimiento paga todo los impuestos que le gravan. Las Maquinitas no solo son ilegales fuera del City Casino, si no que serían ilegales también si estuvieran en el Casino. Es más, están programadas para jamarse el dinero que los hiles le echan sin posibilidad alguna de ganar y eso es un fraude.

The illicit dollars derived from “Maquinitas” are then funneled into local political campaign funds as well as illicit activities by the “interests” behind the “Maquinitas”. Proceeds from illegal gambling have been organized crime’s treasure trove since its “black hand” came up on our society. It is its life blood! Our State Attorney must take the lead against this insidious and nefarious criminal enterprise?
