I see the investigator job was open in winter haven. Is this a new position or the one they have hired for twice in the past year? If its the one they have filled twice before why do people keep quitting.

I heard they have their eye on a guy from the outside. Comes with a pretty impressive personnel file and experience but that doesn't always mean anything. I guess we will see. Apply for it....it's a great gig if you can get it.

Well no matter how hard you work, you can't transfer or promote when all of the traditional positions have been done away with ( K-9 , CARL, VACIS ) and all Investigator positions have been frozen. What is it that you are working for ? Right now a lot of fire stats are being racked up by CARL Officers. When they are gone these stats will nose dive down. Then how will the admin. justify filling the Investigator positions ? Or are they gone forever ?
Hey, but on a different note. The Republican legislature and Ricky will raise your health care insurance about eighty bucks ( family ) in december. Thats about a two to three percent pay cut. Now quit bitchin and lets get to work.

If we are not worth having around then the AG Inspection Stations should go back to being armed security 'Road guards' which is what their pay indicates anyhow. Then send AG Investigations to FDLE where half of them can work Fires and AG crimes and the other half can work consumer complaints. Most administrative and support positions can be cut like DEP.
