Update:

Officer Nelia Real a 16 year veteran of the Key Biscayne Police Department is in Critical but Stable Condition.

The ICE Agent is still unidentified. He was not seriously wounded.

The suspect was killed by a self inflicted gunshot would.

I have not stated that an officer is dead. I stated that the gunman was killed.

One should be more careful when sending out a mass text that an officer is dead when the officer is fighting for her life. How irresponsible.

Reports coming in are saying that the officer in critical condition is a female Key Biscayne officer, who was shot in the neck. The other injured officer is reportedly an agent with ICE and is believed to have been shot in the hand and is alert and conscious.

2 officers, agency unknown at this time, have been shot on Florida's Turnpike in Broward County near Hollywood Blvd. One is critical at this time. The gunman is reported to have been killed.

I will post more information as I get it. Please pray for these officers.
