The pay here is very low, are you sure you can afford the pay cut. No PBA, no clooective bargining at all, just low pay. Beaufort PD pay good and so does the City of Charleston. Good luck brother.

I transfered after 15 1/2 of being a Fl leo. You have to get hired first and then they will send you to the academy. If you are currently certified in Fl you should only have to do the legals here which was 3 weeks for me. They have changed their academy recently from 9 weeks to 12 weeks so the legals might be a week longer.

My wife and I are consicering a relocation to South Carolina. Can anyone give me some information on what it would intail to get certified up there as a LEO. Also what Deptartments that I should look at applying to?
