To all law enforcement officers of the United States.
If you don't want to get a ticket in Florida or in any other state you visit I suggest
you follow the following advise.

OBEY ALL TRAFFIC LAWS!!!!

Any questions?

umm...no. Note that the only 2 States in the nation where incest is even legal are New Jersey, and MIchigan. That just about sinks the entire southern/incest stereotype....

As to "discretion", keep that in mind when we come up there, and decide to carry our duty/off duty arms AT ALL TIMES AND PLACES. Unless/until you can/will do that, avoid Florida- go to...Jersey, instead..

A few years ago we had a serious incident with a rooky Trooper name Burgos who elected to write two summons to a City of Miami Lieutenant responding to the scene of a traffic accident involving his son a Miami Dade Police Officer. Under those circumstances, I think I would have offered to drive the emotionally distressed Lieutenant to his destination. Due to his lack of experience, perhaps he could have contacted his supervisor for some words of wisdom in resolving the situation at hand. This Trooper detained our Lieutenant over 20 minutes, wrote him two traffic summons and then allowed the Lieutenant to get back into his private vehicle continue his reckless race to get to his son. Now that was very smart! and it really insured the safety of the Lieutenant and/or any other motorist in his way.

Lieutenant Bello arrived at the Trauma Center only to discover that his son Miami Dade Officer Bello had passed away from injuries received in the accident. Needless to say Trooper Burgos is very popular in South Florida for all the wrong reasons.

I have traveled to NY and NJ I have not been stopped for any reason, but I have interacted with officer who after learning that (as you guys say) “ I was on the Job” I got the royal treatment.

Thank you Guys and Galls God bless all of you, and be carfull in the Northern part of our State.

This Metro Dade Lt was being a racist azzhole and that is the long and short of it. He should be on the porch for conduct unbecoming. That gives all LEO's a black eye. The Lt was all over the news. What a bunch of bullshitz.
 8)

You must be Burgos, A Hispanic Lt. being a racist with a Hispanic Trooper? Yeah right. What was all over the news, was the trooper acting like an A-hole. He could have had dispatch call the hospital and verify if it was true or not.
Not all Florida Cops are writing up LEO's, and not all troopers are a-holes. Most troopers are brother/sister cops and use discretion. But the few, color the how all troopers are viewed. And I have used that discretion 3 times with NYPD's finest. Do not let a few, hurt our relations. The bull shitter is the guy who has Bello as a county cop, when he is City of Miami. I am sure the NYPD has it's share of idiots too.

Never met a Yankee who could last more than 15 seconds in a fight. BOOM they go night night. BOOM they find out saying "You wouldn't last five minutes on the streets of New Yawk!" gets them nowhere but unconscious.

Dropped my share of Ranger fans and Yankee fans when they want to stand up and shoot their big rubbery gums off in my stadium. Most back down when they realize the quiet man is the one to pull their punk card. The blathering on about how they do it up north gets quieted with one swing of the huge python.

I would respond to you but I'm too busy watching your old lady guzzle down some protein.

This very well could be a Florida cop. I worked for a southern Florida Sheriff's Office for a while now and I heard these exact words come out of a fellow depuy's mouth. South Florida cops, FHP or not, DO NOT like northerners. These "cops" down here don't know how to be a real cop and run around with cameras pretending to be a cop and then putting it on national tv. It would be great to see some of these scumbag cops go up north and spend a shift with you guys- they would run in a corner to hide and suck their thumbs. Go to the Broward Sheriff's Office message board and see for yourself what kind of immature idiots patrol the streets down here. And they wonder why they get shot and killed so often- because NO ONE likes or trusts them. Corruption, from the sheriff down to the CSA, is at it's best in Florida.

Better yet check out Lee County! Talk about corruption and a a good ol boy system! They just ran 2 Ny brothers out of the agency in March! One of them was the county Cheif! The sheriff (Mike Scott) threw his own chief under the bus for alleged claims of intimidation to a fellow officer( whos daddy happened to work on the board) that happend 7 monthes prior! His brother was forced to resighn and was given a BS polygraph with no results but claimed he lied! Just this week the Newspress news had a breaking story on the real reasons this hillbilly agency SCREWED and violated their rights! These two brothers(Charles and Dom Ferante) were investigating a man by the name of Dick Spence who was best friends with sheriff and ran a convenience store in town. It turns out this guy was convicted in 1995 in NY of laundering more than 100 million for the Cali cartel, who at the time were the biggest suppliers of cocaine in the world! Not to mention kidnapping! Imagine that! Ferrante and his brother dicovered the Sheriff made over 400 calls to this felon during his campaign! They set up surveilence at this guys store and the Good ol sheriff had them take it down! month later they were discraced and labled as NY thugs, mario brothers,as acover for a corrupt Sheriff! Over a 4 yr period the Sheriff claimed he was unaware of his crimminal past! Propaganda, and corruption at its best! This is the same sheriff who made the Hussein remark at the Palin ralley back in October of 08!These NY boys were cops who got throw into the cast of Hee Haw!

I'll place my "punk" card directly in your trembling hand if you'd like. In fact, I have no problems force feeding you the card when I'm done.
You see, I was born a New Yorker. I've spent the majority of my life down south. I see the same skumbagz down here as I did up north. Either way, I only see Americans. If you want to fight me as a fellow American, then so be it. The author of the post you quoted is also a piece of shizzat. Typical banter by yet another worthless American. In fact, I'm so pi$$sed right now, I wanna tear that "punk" card in half shove it up both of your arses.

As an American and a Cop, I'm ready for the alleged @$$ beatin'. Don't be surprised if you find yourselves acting as a team fighting against me.

I hate to say it brother, but your post is extremely hard to read. I know the incident you're speaking of, and that's probably the only reason why I made it through your post. I believe this incident was also captured on video tape, and it portrayed the Lt. as being in the wrong regardless of his predicament.
If I'm also not mistaken, there were some northern Troopers that wrote several Georgia Troopers tickets for speeding on I-75 and 95 while they were in their marked units returning to their State after some training. GSP then began writing tickets to all FHP officers that would make u-turns inside the Georgia state line. Wouldn't you know it, FHP stopped pulling over Georgia State Troopers shortly after.
My point being is that we need to do away with Officers that lack common sense, and do away with the monthly ticket quotas (kindly put as productivity evaluation periods). All in all, as much as the media likes to portray us as bad people, there is less than half of 1% of officers out there that paint a bad image for us. That's a better track record than any profession out there, including being a Politician or a so called "professional athelete". Perhaps your anger is aimed in the wrong direction.
True Cops are becoming a rare breed. True Cops not only let their brothers and sisters pass on their infractions, but also let the common citizen go with a warning. With your one complaint of receiving a ticket, there are 10-20 people who received nothing. While you claim it was a racist stop, there were many others of your same ethnicity that were given a warning for their infraction. You blame the cop for handing you that fine for your wrong doing, and claim that the Officer has erred in writing you that ticket or arresting you. In fact, everything boils down to you putting the blame on someone else for your wrong doing. People like you are the squeaky wheel, and the squeaky wheel tends to get the grease. Thanks to people like you, we will be hiring even worse Officers in the future.
You think it's bad now, keep complaining.

Im a Florida Trooper in south Florida and can say I have never written another cop, their wives children or even a doctor or nurse. Its just my thing. I can say that I have numerous friends with NYPD. I have stopped numerous NYPD and only one was curteous. All of the stops were for 20 + in a 70. It seems that NYPD imediatley have attitudes when I stop them. Though I dont write them, just because I wont, none of them seem to appreciate it.

I AM GREATLY SADDEN THAT OUR FLORIDA STATE TROOPERS DO NOT HAVE THE SAME RESPECT THAT THE NORTHERN STATE OFFICERS HAVE FOR EACH OTHER. I WAS BORN AND RAISED THERE AND WORK DOWN IN FL. WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE IN MY CAREER. I RESPECT AND HONOR YOU ALL UP NORTH. GOD BLESS, AND WHEN I SEE OR HEAVEN FOR BID PULL YOU OVER...I WILL EXTEND MY HAND AND WELCOME YOU TO OUR STATE. YOU ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST!
