I can speak for the Troopers in South Florida the great majority will extend curtecy to a fellow LEO as long as there is a respectful interaction. Most of the good old boys have retired, by enlarge the new generations has a different mentality. BUT, beware there still some Winners at a FHP.A few years ago we had a serious incident with a rooky Trooper name Burgos who elected to write two summons to a City of Miami Lieutenant responding to the scene of a traffic accident involving his son a Miami Dade Police Officer. Under those circumstances, I think I would have offered to drive the emotionally distressed Lieutenant to his destination. Due to his lack of experience, perhaps he could have contacted his supervisor for some words of wisdom in resolving the situation at hand. This Trooper detained our Lieutenant over 20 minutes, wrote him two traffic summons and then allowed the Lieutenant to get back into his private vehicle continue his reckless race to get to his son. Now that was very smart! and it really insured the safety of the Lieutenant and/or any other motorist in his way.Lieutenant Bello arrived at the Trauma Center only to discover that his son Miami Dade Officer Bello had passed away from injuries received in the accident. Needless to say Trooper Burgos is very popular in South Florida for all the wrong reasons. I have traveled to NY and NJ I have not been stopped for any reason, but I have interacted with officer who after learning that (as you guys say) “ I was on the Job” I got the royal treatment. Thank you Guys and Galls God bless all of you, and be carfull in the Northern part of our State. This Metro Dade Lt was being a racist azzhole and that is the long and short of it. He should be on the porch for conduct unbecoming. That gives all LEO's a black eye. The Lt was all over the news. What a bunch of bullshitz.

BOOM they find out saying "You wouldn't last five minutes on the streets of New Yawk!" gets them nowhere but unconscious.Dropped my share of Ranger fans and Yankee fans when they want to stand up and shoot their big rubbery gums off in my stadium. Most back down when they realize the quiet man is the one to pull their punk card. The blathering on about how they do it up north gets quieted with one swing of the huge python.

Your not welcome in FLorida, too many of you New York f--k ups have infested Florida like rats. If New York was such a great place why do you all wanna come here? Weather, grow up! The Trooper should have arrested you. Godamn you for puttin him in a position where he did "Give you a break!" YOu didn't deserve it and it has nothing to do with professional courtesy. Once again STFU and stay out of our state This person clearly is not a cop. This very well could be a Florida cop. I worked for a southern Florida Sheriff's Office for a while now and I heard these exact words come out of a fellow depuy's mouth. South Florida cops, FHP or not, DO NOT like northerners. These "cops" down here don't know how to be a real cop and run around with cameras pretending to be a cop and then putting it on national tv. It would be great to see some of these scumbag cops go up north and spend a shift with you guys- they would run in a corner to hide and suck their thumbs. Go to the Broward Sheriff's Office message board and see for yourself what kind of immature idiots patrol the streets down here. And they wonder why they get shot and killed so often- because NO ONE likes or trusts them. Corruption, from the sheriff down to the CSA, is at it's best in Florida.
