Actually it's been Cary,NC since Nov...but yeah there are alot of goobers and gomers running around.

Example: Open carry is legal up here, so the other day I'm driving back from work and there's a guy standing on the edge of the road by his mailbox with a rifle leaning across his chest. While that might get a reaction back there its pretty common here. That and keeping your gun in a glovebox w/o permit is considered carrying concealed, so people actually put it on the dashboard when stopped up here.

But on the flip side they do have a great law called "disorderly conduct by abusive language". It basically means that if someone flicks you off or curses you out to the point where a reasonable person would retailiate you take 'em to jail. So no one'll curse you out but they'll eye f**k the shiznitz out of you.

Some things are crazy and some things are better so it all evens out.

WHAT A DISGRACE. I had a couple of run-ins with her a few years back, and let me tell you, absolute female dog she was. All of the bad publicity LPD got from her drunker stuper, and the department allows someone like her back. I love my job here, but Christ, why on Gods green Earth was she allowed back? She is useless. Most of my close friends here feel the same way towards her.

Be prepared for having to do a lot more backing up for her.

I think not. They had to take her back because of our binding union agreement which says that the City has to abide by the arbitrator's decision. Blame her, her attorney, and the PBA for getting her job back. She should know that she is not wanted and just retire. But, we all know that it is not in her nature. So until she screws up again, we all have to bear the wrath.

Are you kidding me? This was NOT this time she had been in trouble and disciplined. She made a mockery out of herself and the LPD. I do not feel her being FIRED was some BS disciplinary act. And, that was not the only reason she was FIRED. It was an accumulation of things she has done. Maybe the dept does do some BS things from time to time, but this was justified and should have stuck.

Maybe, just maybe, she'll get the hint she is NOT wanted here by most, and resign and go elsewhere. Could we be that lucky?

A very serious observation. In the real world (i.e. private sector) this "woman" (and I'm being kind) would have never stood a chance. You can't go through life treating fellow employees like trash without paying the price. There are no words that can express what a nasty person she has always been. She would cost you your safety if she had a grudge. I'm telling the truth, don't let your guard down. The Chief did the right thing getting rid of her! Unfortunatly, you all still have to deal with her abuse. You are all the ones being punished at this point. I think the last thing the road needed was another Gossip Officer on the streets. We already have "The Wink" and the Vonns. The "Cry me a river" Crew. Supervisors love to keep these guys around, and JS, because they get to hear the dirt on people they don't like thid month.
