Is this true?

A dep told me today that at the academy PT is not required to pass there is no requierment for it to pass and it is not mandtory with the state of FL but it looks better for you if you do it, could this be right he said there will be several fat slobs that wont even run 3 steps the whole time and still pass.

From what i was told, you have to be able to do a state mandated 1.5 mile run in 15 mintues, the rest of the PT really isnt required but i cant imagine someone refusing to do PT while the remaining members of the class are all doing it.

I heard at Southwest Florida CJ academy, the PT is not that bad, they run every day like 2 miles, and thats about it. I heard its not bad at all. I would like to know more though, so maybe some people that are there or have gone through can share.

None of the collier guys commented on this so it must be true takes pressure off a old guy.
