IF YOU ARE IN DROP YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR FREE MEMBERSHIP IN THE HCSO ALUMNI ASSOCIATION.
Benefits of membership include receipt of the Alumni Newsletter which addresses retirement issues such as personal finances and health insurance, as well as being eligible to attend the quarterly meetings which feature a free meal, socializing with other retirees and events such as the Health Fair planned for the January meeting.
Membership is free, but it is not automatic. In order to be placed on the mailing list for the newsletter DROP members (and other retirees who are not currently members of the association) should notify association President Ken SChintzius of their desire to become members.
Simply send an e-mail to Ken at a1cs12@hotmail.com with your full name, complete mailing address, telephone number, email address and your years of service with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, including the year in which you retired or entered DROP.
Full membership is open to Law Enforcement, Detention and Civilian former employees whether retired or in DROP.
Associate membership, also free, is available to former employees of all classifications who did not retire from HCSO.
