Thank You

To all the NOPD cops who stayed in the flooded city and actually tried to stop the horde of thieves. Thank you for doing your duty during extreme hazardous time right after Katrina. You folks are true pros and should stand tall. You didn't abandon your sworn duty and said no the animals who started their criminal activity right after the storm passed. Media focused on the bad cops and hardly mentioned your efforts. You are the unknown, unsung heroes of that mess. God bless you and your families.

There were some good NOPD cops.

I knew some of them.

Unfortunately, they were in the minority.

Over the years a great number of them have gotten fed up and left the city to work in the surrounding parishes.

Many who STAYED after the hurricane were still there because they saw an opportunity to be LOOTERS.

How sad..............

Many, I say - but not all. Thanks to those of you who did the best you could in a most difficult situation in a city with incompentent leaders and many lazy and dishonest people in uniform.
