I am about to go through the police academy at the Saint Petersburg college, and I would like as much advice as possible. What should I expect? It’s my understanding that out of 32 recruits, about 10 drop/fail. Is this mostly because of bad attitudes and lack of physical fitness? Should I get a 19 or a 17 glock firearm? How are the exams each week structured? Are the instructors there to assist, help, and guide the students, or are they known to be unhelpful. Do they do PT at the end of the day, and do all the students take showers (I was told they have showers there, a bit odd?). Where will I be trained to use my firearm? If anyone could answer any of these questions, please do. I would really appreciate ANY advice I can get. Thanks!

YES YOU TAKE A SHOWER THERE. THEY HAVE AN INDOOR FIREARM TRANING AT ST PETE COLLEGE IN HILLSBOROUGH YOU WOULD USE HCCO OUTDOOR COURSE. AS LONG AS YOU TRY AND DONT GIVE UP PT IS NOT ALL ABOUT BEING IN PERFECT SHAPE ALTHOUGH IT HELPS. THEY WILL NOT TOLERATE QUITERS IF YOU CANT DO IT IN A CONTROLLED SETTING YOU WONT DO IT ON THE STREET. YOU DO MOST PT FIRST THING IN THE MORNING THEN SHOWER THEY WILL RUN YOU BEAT YOU AND STRESS YOU BUT ITS PART OF THE GAME. BE MENTAL TOUGH DO WHAT THEY SAY AND YOU WILLL BE FINE FOR THE MOST PART THE INSTRUCTORS WILL HELP YOU. FIREARM IT DEPENDS. I MYSELF LIKE THE SIG SAUER 220 45 CAL.THE GLOCK 17 IS A GOOD FIRE ARM

AS FOR EXAMS I CAN'T HELP YOU DUE TO THE CMS STRUCTURE AND I WAS IN SCHOOL PRIOR TO THAT. I DO KNOW YOU MUST OBTAIN AN 80 AVERAGE ON EVERY BLOCK OR EXAM. IF YOU TEST BELOW YOU WILL HAVE TO RETAKE THE BLOCK AT A LATE
