I was doing some reseach into ballistic threat levels and came accross a new product called dragon skin. We are issued threat level II armor and I dont mind spending a little extra money to get the best on the market.

There is a company in Palmetto FL, that makes bullet proof panels, its called dynema. Its about 50 pieces of paper think and it will stop a .45cal and shot gun. they can make it as think as you want, they do all the hummers over in iraq.

I spoke with a rep from the company and was informed that the vest that will provide rifle protection costs $2,247.00. It weighs about 17 Lbs and is made of many 1 inch ballistic plates in a fish scale type configuration that over laps.
