Rumor has it the Sheriff didn't get the proposed budget he was hoping for. Does this mean Pasco will slow down on hiring. The reason I am asking @ZCI we have apptoximately 15-20 certified officers waiting to leave the state & most of them are with under 5 yrs of experience. If anyone out there has info please post.

I can't see that effecting us too much, we are currently down(last I heard) 20 deouties in the jail. Call human REsources and ge the process started.

From the St. Pete Times article, he was asking for some 98 positions total. County said no to 53, leaving 45 positions approved to which he may fill which ever he deems necessary. I would think that however many get designated for Detention, that would be in addition to the X amount of positions we are already short.

So yeah, call H.R. they should be busy come Oct. 1 :P

No, I am truly being truthful. And yes I am pissed off about it. I applied mid January and just missed the last hire, scored 58 on the oral. I am not trying to start any problems, only reason I posted is because I believed I had a job on the next hire.
