Tampa PD only hiring Black and hispanic applicants?

i am going through the academy right now and every person that is sponsored by TPD is a black female(mostly) or a black male or hispanic. whats going on with that? does anyone know?

Get used to it, it's the wave of the politically correct future. Your services are not needed unless you fit that category.

The scholarship class is how TPD gets its minority candidates. Non-minority candidates are hired after the academy--mainly after they have spent several years as a LEO somewhere else. It's been our hiring trend for a while only to hire experienced LEOs and those we put through the academy on scholarship.

Put yourself through the academy and are applying to TPD as your first LE job??? Not much chance of getting hired.

probably b/c there is a vast population of hispanics in tampa, listen how many times they bolo for a spanish speaker thats probably why there getting hired................
