Any word on the next swat school. Heard you guys training last Friday. Is there anyway us non-swat pukes can get some of your training?

No word on the next school. According to God..oh I mean Gary, we're over staffed on the team anyway. Besides, why do you want to be on the team? This agency does whatever possible NOT to get into a call up situation, we havent done team shooting in about 2 months, because, well because the TAC team is already out of money. We live on the water and we DONT DO any waterborne training at all. The PCSO team is going full time and will definately be the agency in charge if any major situation comes up because contrary to what the COC would have you beleive, we are not equipped to handle a major crisis. I can go on and on. Granted, when we do train, its pretty good, but its not enough and we just dont have the support we need. Yeah Chief Dekay says he supports us but wheres the rest of our budget? Wheres our gear? (patrol Remmingtons? pleaseeeee) Wheres our vehicles? Just go bro..go with the rest of em.

Sad, but true. There is not a real commitment to training...for anybody but chief's staffers who take jaunts to Boston for a 3-week leadership school at Harvard and a 3-month FBI school at Quantico. There's plenty of $ for that!

And we see how that pays off!

SO has far superior commitment to training with a complete staff. Uniforms, BDU's yearly, equipment, etc.

SPPD was once..... not anymore. Leave before they put a freeze on resignations and retirement like the military did with a "stop loss" when the "war" started.
