I would like to highly suggest that all street officers read the full arbitration letter regarding the Maus incident. It is truly scary to hear our chief make his statements and to see the way the city attorney will draft letters to prove their inaccurate points.
It gives me pause to think that, God forbid, I use an umpopular/ politically incorrect move as to kick someone that I would be subject to the same IA and termination that Travis has. I know Travis (professionaly only) and he stuck to his guns and it came out on top. Good for him.
The Chief as well as our "material witness" D.T. instructor should be ashamed of themselves. The Sgt. made a fool of himself and it is obvious in the transcript that he is pandering to the city and is totally called on the carpet by the arbitrator. Or should I say the new Lt.??? Shurley you will be rewarded for you loyalty.
