WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (AP) - An Amber Alert has been issued for a
2-year-old Winter Haven boy allegedly taken by his mother's ex-boyfriend Thursday morning.
Police said Diego Batista was likely abducted by 38-year-old Javier Tapia about 2 a.m.
They may be traveling in a gold or silver four-door Honda with
Florida tag A293VJ.
Authorities warn that Tapia may be armed and dangerous.
He's described as being 5-feet 5-inches tall with black hair and brown eyes.
Diego is 2-feet tall with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a diaper.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call
the Winter Haven police department.
