Witnessed this the other day @ work.

There's a Deputy on a squad, does his job Ok, makes mistakes but overall a good guy.

When the Deputy off or out of the area, his "partners" talk about the Deputy and the Deputy's family like they are the scum of the earth. the Deputy gets no credibilty from the supervisor, and is treated below standard. Even though the Deputy is one of the supervisors best workers, the Deputy is still give no respect.

Either through a misunderstanding or an outright lie, The Deputy has made derogatory comments about another employee. Now the Deputy has more credibility than the Pope. They are practically carrying this guy around on their shoulders.

Is it "pack mentality" or is there some new trend that I have obviously missed.

That is the way of the MSO, you can work your butt off, do good things...but if someone more popular doesn't like you....and they are liked, you get treated like trash...no matter what
