What would be considered a good leader nowadays in DOC?

one who knows when it is the right time to depart the organization.

* someone who puts their troop's (staff) needs ahead of themselves.
* honesty
* stop stabbing me in the back
* stop treating me like I'm stupid
* put yourself on the line once in a while to support me if you know I'm right
* and yes, know how to leave when its your time to go

What would be considered a good leader nowadays in DOC?

Someone who could lead by example.

Leadership comes from within the person; either the person leads by example or tortures the employees by covering their own rear end.

Sometimes, unforntunately, some officers should never become supervisors because they forget that they must now lead..........the hanging out in the break room days are gone.
