20 Year Retirement

We are once again making a push for a 20 or 25 year FRS retirement for 911 dispatchers. We need all of your support to get that done. This has died in committee the past 2 years. We are trying to start a grass roots effort to pressure out representatives in Talahassee to finally get this done. if you have any questions or would like to be more involved please email us at lbnichols2@msn.com.

After just returning from the June 2006 state FOP conference, this bill is on their list of bills to back and push this next session. We need to get everyone to write letters, send notes and do what ever it takes to get this passed. Not only does this give us the 20 year retirement but would put us in to the high risk category which increases your retirement benefit.

Do you have much info on this? Would our time already served count towards this 20?

Yes it would. You need to write your congressmen and woman to push this and not let it die again.

DOES ANYONE KNOW THE BILL NUMBER THAT IS BEING PROPOSED? I TRIED TO LOOK IT UP ON KATHERINE HARRIS 'S WEBSITE BUT DID NOT KNOW THE BILL NUMBER.
