Does anyone know if the governor kept the mileage in the budget or if it was "line itemed" out?

I think we are getting the 44.5 cents a mile in July.....

No we may not be getting the increase this year. It was tied to another judicial bill concerning DJJ and their equipement. Bush lined through many specifics in that package. Don't know how his doing so for sure effects the travel increase as there were several passed bills packaged together.

I don't know if the governor signed it though.

Reading the text of that bill I don't see where it applies to your vehicle usage in day-to-day activities. Seems geared more towards actual 'travel', as in overnight stays in other cities, states and countries. Is F.S. §112.061 the statute currently used to pay your auto expense?

new 44.5 mileage rate effective July 1.

Well, the law may authorize the payment of 44+ cents per mile...

The real question is...did the legislature fund the bill. Without the funding the issue is moot.
