There is a Corrections Labor Meeting Thursday, May 18th, 2006 at Pasco Sheriff’s Lodge 29, Land O Lakes. Dinner is being served at 630pm, meeting to follow. This will be the last meeting before your VOTE. Come out and listen to others who have went to collective bargaining with the FOP. You will hear right from the mouths of your Brothers and Sisters on the Law Enforcement side of the house, along with State Officials of the FOP. Don’t just sit back and let your important VOTE be cast without knowing all the facts. Come out enjoy a good meal, get to see some old friends and make some new ones. Become involved and have a say in your future and career. There will be 2 meetings one for Deputies & Corporals and another for Sgt & Lt.

As many of you may have noticed that here have been members of the FOP State Lodge and Your Brothers and Sisters of Pasco Sheriff’s Lodge 29 Labor Units outside of your work locations over the past few weeks. We are here to give you a chance to ask questions and be informed about your upcoming important vote. We just didn’t want you to sign the cards and be forgotten. The FOP was here way before you even had the right to chose collective bargaining and we will be here long after, for you our members. The FOP is not only a Collective Bargaining Unit; we are a Brother/Sisterhood to support you both, at the Bargaining table and away from the table. Stop by and say hello to your fellow brothers and sisters when you see them. They are out there on their own time to support you and to answer all your questions. Take a minute and listen to what your brother and sisters feel on the Law Enforcement side. Your Collective Bargaining Unit will be the strongest when you stand alongside your brothers and sisters in Law Enforcement and unite all employees together as ONE VOICE.

The State FOP and FOP Labor Council are ready to stand up with you in this vote. Your voice united with the Road Deputies and Supervisors will be heard loud and clear at the bargaining table. Do not send a fractured message to management.
Your issues are important and you need a seat at the table to voice those issues. Come to the meeting on Thursday and listen to our Labor Representatives and Legal Counsel Mike Coviello. Ask questions and get straight answers. Your brothers and sisters in Sheriff's Offices all over the state of Florida are realizing the important benefits of bargaining together and are reaping the benefits.
You will be the ones living under a new contract guaranteeing your rights. This is not about the sheriff but all about you. Set the standards and rules for the next sheriff and the sheriff after that for your future and the future of those to come after you. Your FOP is strong in Pasco and the FOP is recognized across the nation as the largest law enforcement organization in the country.
