Hello all, I work for FDC as a Correctional Officer and have been there a little over a year I'm already CO certified. I'm interested in becoming an LEO through FWC because I have a great love of the outdoors and have always wanted to become an LEO in general so I figured FWC would be a better fit for me than. I guess my question would be should I wait a few more years to have some solid experience on my resume working for a florida agency or should I apply sooner and see what happens? I don't know about other agencies but FDC was easy to get hired through and although I'm not LEO certified the reason why I went the CO route was I heard it's a good way to get your foot in the door with law enforcement agencies.
